On June 21st, 2019, the Transportation Policy Board, the decision-making body for the El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization, expressed its support of efforts by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation to secure funding from the Texas Department of Transportation and any other potential funding sources that would assist in the development of the Paso del Norte Trail Master Plan.
