The vision for the Paso del Norte Trail began in 2018 to develop a countywide system to promote healthy living in the region. The Paso del Norte Health Foundation, in collaboration with numerous community stakeholders, led the development of the conceptual master plan that charted the course for the trail's development.
The Paso del Norte Health Foundation spearheaded the formation of a Trail Advisory Committee that includes representatives from the public and private sectors. This committee plays a pivotal role in coordinating funding for the design and construction of the Paso del Norte Trail.
These collaborative efforts underscore a shared commitment to advancing the Paso del Norte Trail—a testament to the transformative impact of community-driven initiatives on regional connectivity, health, and quality of life.
