Join us Saturday, September 5 at 8:00 AM for a walk along the River Park Trail from Country Club Road to Artcraft Road and back! The river is current running and the trail provides vistas of the Franklin Mountains and scenic overlooks of the Rio Grande River. During this soothing walk you will learn about the development of this trail and the history of the area, and likely observe many of the bird species of the Rio Grande.
Be sure to bring plenty of water, use sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring comfortable walking shoes. Feel free to bring a pair of binoculars if you have them. The walk is approximately 5-miles long.
Please bring a mask. Hand sanitizer will be available.
There is no parking exactly at the entrance to the River Park Trail, but we will be meeting at the shopping center where Yamaha and Kawasaki stores are:
